Orange Sofa

Orange SofaIs orange oil authorized to use on my leather sofaa

I want to tell my kittens scratching at my leather sofa, and heard the orange oil is good for deterring cats in general - it damage the orange leather righta

Kittens have a scratching post ... it's just a matter of evil kittens!

What type of orange oil are you talking abouta

Oil itself will not damage leather, just how smooth and bold.
I found it interesting but it is not 100% accurate in all cases:

contains Limonene, mild hand irritating; cause cancer in male rats, flammable orange essential oil can be used in pesticides [7]. Insects and small animals to death in open barrels of orange oil were observed;

Skin irritation is inflammation caused by a reaction to a certain oil and gravity is normally depends on the exposure to oil. It was thought by some that the content of terpenes in the oils that cause skin irritations, but tests have shown that it is more likely to be caused by a high phenol content in some oils
skin sensitization
Dermal or skin sensitization may occur when certain essential oils are applied to the skin, even diluted, and the skin reacts normally in the form of a rash, spots and itching and in some cases, blisters may occur.

I know we're talking cats and cats who have dealt with very sensitive, I'd be very careful as cats surely rub or lie on the couch, and when they get on their feet, they always lick.

Please seek professional advice!

I would like to test the oil on the underside of the sofa, just in case it causes damage.

I do not know if you've noticed, but cats often scratch the areas where they rub their chin. Take a soft cloth and wipe it on the glands of your kittens face (cheeks, lips and forehead) and dry the fabric on the sofa area where the kittens are scratches. Be careful using this trick on cream-colored leather as it can leave traces dirty. Feliway spray once daily for 21 days may also discourage them from scratch, because it mimics the scent glands of the face. I do not know if it is safe to use on leather, so you'll need to try that on a hidden part of the sofa first.

As part of their desire to scratch is to mark the territory that could be the current location of the position of zero are not willing to. You can also try placing the positions of zero (they need one of each) in front of the sofa area where they scratch.

This website has an article on preventing unwanted scratching which may be helpful.
